I got mine installed and where can I start with the problems?
first the sd card will only read when you pull it out then put it back in.then it wont read my mp3's it may read the odd one then you cannot select the next song if you choose the song on the dns screen nothing happens.. just crashes..then if you select fm radio no sound comes from the radio..you have to turn off your car for 3 seconds then start up your car then you will get the radio to work...
next the rear camera does not work...if the car is started and I put it in reverse it will switch over to camera mode but the screen goes all scrambled...but if I just have the car in accessory mode(just turn the key once no engine running) it will show the camera working..
next the bluetooth I cannot get it to sinc with my car..i try to sink it with the steering wheel and it says syncing then finds my phone and says synced vw...I think it is syncing my phone to the car but not the dns810..
very frusterating I want to send it back and exchange it for the ans810 I least that works...I think..

You definitely have a faulty unit. I have PM'd you.

As for the missing cables, I am really confused about that too. My sample unit came with all the accessory cables and I have no idea why they would not include aux and USB now. I'm not sure if I can find out before I leave - if not I will chase it up as soon as I return.

You wouldn't have to worry about the update thing though, all updates are done through the GPS SD slot.

- I've had a couple issues with the Radio not pumping out any sound. The HU itself sends sound to the speakers, and I always get sound from the SD card, so I'm hoping it's just because I'm waiting on that FAKRA adapter.....we shall see.

- When RDS is on, the unit kinda freaks out and constantly seeks for a new station. If I hit seek in either direction, it will stop for awhile and let me hit one of my presets, but that only lasts a few minutes before it starts seeking again.

When you say radio not pumping out sound, is it when you leave the ignition on a while until after the unit starts booting / has booted, and then turn on the engine? I find the radio can lose sound if it is on and you then start the engine.

With regards to RDS, did you change the region to USA? The setting is under menu -> radio. The seek thing also may have something to do with the RDS AF function for seeking alternative frequencies for the same RDS station when it thinks signal is weak. I find this to be more of an annoyance most times, I'll suggest they add an option to turn this off.

How do you pair a phone it won't work

When in Bluetooth menu just connect to it on your phone and pair it like any normal Bluetooth device. I might able to help if you tell me what you're doing and how it's not working.

It's in a hidden menu, you have to go to aux-in menu, then press and hold the middle of the far left of the screen.

hmm maybe I better just install this unit to make sure its nit faulty & not reassemble my dash so I can get the missing cables installed

A question re. SD cards - what's the minimum required size for the GPS SD?

Also is FAT32 format the only the requirement for the SD card? I've read there are ways to format a 64/128GB SDXC card into FAT32 using third party utilities.

I used most of a 4gb card for the GPS software plus maps. I don't have a sdxc card to test.

Yep from memory I have one too - was just seeing if anyone has tried it out. I'll give it a go as well.

You simply need a USB SD card reader and you can follow instructions here.

Just got response that the DNS does connect to the OEM aux in and USB connection, so that's why they didn't include the extra cables. I wasn't told of this at all and this leaves the question of what to do with cars that don't have aux in or USB already with the car. I gave to sort it out with them but I'm out of time.. the units did arrive and I have given instructions for my dad to sort it out, they will be shipped tomorrow morning.
