Although I am surprised someone is asking about the quality of AM radio. No matter what you use to listen to AM, the quality is going to be rubbish lol

Being a Sunday though I will have to wait till tomorrow to touch base with Audiosources, but last I checked they did another tweak of the radio module which delayed production but supposedly significantly improved the signal quality. My sample unit has had none of the tweaks, and FM is near perfect while AM is a bit fuzzy - so the finished product should have solid signal all round.

As for iGo, yes the look you see in the video is due to the custom skin being used. I agree it is a bit cartoon-ish but in iGo the skin can change some of the functionality as well and this one I used has some of the most useful tweaks IMO. You're free to use the iGo standard skin or any other custom skins that are widely available online.

No, I listen to the ABC, and am concerned that AM is still "a bit fuzzy" (aparantly there isn't AM radio in China ?)- hopefully it will be sorted with the improvements to the radio module

Why is it that basic smart phones can be made in a month but a radio cant be made in 6? This is getting ridiculous. I am nearly at my breaking point and thinking on looking for another unit, as with these last minute hardware changes really gives me the feeling Ive had for a while with this unit. Will be released just to be replaced.

I think you'll find even your most basic phones take 12-18months plus to go from basic idea to full scale mass production. For example, the Moto X that only just got released, has been in the works since before Google bought Moto.

Still, it's bloody frustrating what AS is doing hopefully it will be in our hands very soon.

Judging from the HU shape of the Golf MK7, i believe the DNS won't work/fit for your Golf MK7

Based on the completely different physical shape, and that the Mk7 has a lot of tech built into the headunit/infotainment system (and would thus have a completely different electrical interface), it won't work. I was going to say "I highly doubt it would work", but in fact, i'm 100% sure it won't.

Dunno why you'd want to replace the original Mk7 headunit anyways?
