Thanks kaanage - i would be surprised if the ECU was an anti-tune one, but as i dont know much about the diesels i thought id keep my mouth shut until someone could prove it to be right or wrong.

Really? What is your engine code? Have the locked the newer ECUs? I thought it was only the common rails.

I could give you a before and after demo if it turns out you can remap it.

Mate the VW 125 kw TDI's from the 2009 MK6 and up are all antitune and Audi is generally ahead of VW....

And Bluefin voids new car warranty right?

According to Greg on the previous page, it's from 2009 onwards that the diesels had the anti-tune ECU's fitted. But i would check with Bluefin's NZ distributor to make sure if you are interested. His details are below.

And yes, as well as all other brands of tunes, the Bluefin will void warranty if you have an engine failure. Just put the original file back onto the car before it goes to the dealer.

Also I believe they are still able to tell if you have applied the tune in any warranty claim

MkV GT TDI is not anti tune. You must have extended warranty to still be worried, mine ran out last year? A tune may only possibly void warranty on anything directly attributable to that tune, so your seats for instance are still covered. I assume you are concerned about the injectors, well even if the local dealer went to the trouble to check, there is a silent TPI out to dealers now to fix those dodgy Siemens injectors for seven years apparently, so you'd be pretty safe there I would imagine.

As for the injectors, I think mine has the newer ones already due to the make dates. However are there more things that can be affected by the tune?

Superchips say that the flash counter is reset so they can't detect if you have flashed the car in the past. Some people dispute this.

My experience is that I took the tune off the car before taking it to VW and my injectors were replaced free of charge, out of warranty.
