Good morning Lucas.
As your bluefin is under 12 months old all you will need to do is return the car to original and contact us again. Once the car has been put back to standard we can reset the bluefin for you free of charge as it is under a year old.
Once it is reset it will be essentially the same as a new handset.
Kind Regards,
Michael Howard.

I'm looking to get it for my MY11.5 GTI, can you give me some opinion of the tune? Did you like it? and did it really give u good fuel economy?
Also the reason i consider this tune is coz it's simple. I assuming there isnt any need to upgrade any parts of my car? coz i remember using this tune may wear and tear some 'things' since their not meant for this power output.
Im in Melbourne btw,

Yes the Bluefin application is quite simple, and also reversable if you need to put your car back to stock. These two reasons were what attracted me to the Superchips/Bluefin unit to begin with - as well as the price compared to other tunes. For a standard Stage 1 Bluefin tune, you dont need to have any other parts installed on the car. This is the case with all Stage 1 programs from other tuners as well. Stage 2 and above requires additional hardware like air filters / bigger exhaust / fuel pump etc etc.
The Stage 1 Bluefin tune itself was good, and gave my car (Golf R) an additional 20kw at the wheels and about 50nm of torque. With normal driving, fuel consumption actually went down from around 11L/100km to around 10.2L/100km - the extra torque means you dont need to use as much throttle to get moving / go up hills etc.
Let me say that the ONLY reason i am selling the Bluefin is because i now have some parts on order to futher boost the power of my car - and Bluefin doesn't really support anything past a stage 2 level. Because of this, i am looking at another tuning company who can alter the tune more to suit these aftermarket parts.
Another member on this forum (nat225) has the Bluefin tune on his Mk6 GTi and he has approx 125kw at the wheels stock. After the Bluefin his had 145kw. If you PM him he could send you his dyno sheet.

Hi JPE, without knowing more info about your car and engine I can't give you any figures. Is it an A3 or A4 etc? Is it the 103kw (140hp) or the 125kw (170hp) version of the TDI?
You can look up the performance gains yourself here >> Superchips – petrol and diesel engine tuning, ECU remap software for maximum driving pleasure.
Depending on which engine your car has, the gains are approx + 37 horsepower and either + 75 or 95 nm (torque depends on which motor you have).

It's a 2010 A3 125kw.
How quick and easy are the installs of the software? Would it be possible to have it fitted for a test run? I only bought the chip back then cause it offered drivetrain warranty etc plug, play and forget and didn't know much on diesels and still learning.
If I could convince the missus I could grab it this weekend. She drives it more then me and notices the diff when I take the chip off. So I wanted to see what kind of gains would it be.

Best ask Bluefin if they can flash that car, off the top of my head it's anti tune...2014 Skoda Yeti TDI Outdoor 4x4 | Audi Q3 CFGC repower | Darkside tune and Race Cams | Darkside dump pDPF | Wagner Comp IC | Snow Water Meth | Bilstein B6 H&R springs | Rays Homura 2x7 18 x 8" 255 Potenza Sports | Golf R subframe | Superpro sways and bushings | 034 engine mounts | MK6 GTI brakes |

It takes about an hour the first time you upload the software (read stock file from ECU = 20mins, upload to Superchips server = 10mins, Download new Stage 1 file = 10mins, upload Stage 1 file to car = 20mins). Once this initial process has been done, it takes about 15-20mins to swap between stock and the Superchips file whenever you want to change it.
Greg seems to think that your car might have the anti-tune ECU. He knows a fair bit about the diesels, so you may need to investigate this.
With these handheld devices you can't really do a "test run" as such. Reason being, that the unit is locked to the car (via the VIN number that it reads from the ECU) once you do your initial read stock file process. To be reset/unlocked (so it can be used in another car), Superchips in the UK need to do this.
Currently this unit is "locked" to my vehicle, but ive already spoken to Superchips in the UK about resetting it for me, and they said just to let them know when im ready and they will do it.
What i could offer you, if your interested, is a short drive in my Golf R. First with the Superchips file installed, and then ill put the stock file back on the car, and we can go for another drive.
