If anyone purchased the turbo kit I'm assuming they're still going to have to shell out for software from APR?

Yeah, unfortunately tunes aren't "transferrable" thats why its priced pretty well I believe.

APR is pretty keen on getting a K04 on a Tiguan ..... (I've been thinking had about it) .... considering you have APR ECU already, it would be much less than what you'd expect ..... if anything .... best talk to Guy.

You would however need FMIC upgrade and DP upgrade before doing the K04 though.

Thanks for the info Johan, I was fearing the DP and FMIC would be a must, as would an HD clutch too I think. Just don't have enough dough to do all that at the same time unfortunately

yeah the APR guys will look after you if you are an exciting customer thats for sure! The clutch I don't recon is required but down the track it may be. depending on how hard its driven etc obviously

Is the turbo a complete kit? Do you have any idea on labour cost to install?

Hey mate, pretty much complete, all you need is an oem gasket kit ($50). I'll check how much my install cost. I had intercooler and clutch installed at the same time but I'll estimate around $350-$400. I can check my reciept in the morning for a better idea
