I'm also looking into Wavetrac LSDs too. I like the idea of them having pre-load.
Since we're not offroading, I don't see the advantage of the pre-loading as there should always be some grip for both wheels. Plus I think the preload will make the LSD more obtrusive for normal driving- but that's supposition and may not bear out in the real world.
Integrated Engineering sell both but the Wavetrac is a bit cheaper so that's an extra plus for it
Do you know what the gearbox version is for your Caddy and my Polo TDi? Is it the O2J? (not that I intend to buy an LSD)
How does a LSD work in relation to the ECS Traction control on my Polo?
Will they compliment each other, do I need to switch ECS off to make use of the LSD?
You keep tempting me with the good group buys, first scch, then kw, now peloquin. your a bastard chris you want me to spend all my money?
ahah you read my mind. i would love to participate and buy some kw's and a peloquin diff chris! unfortunately student incomes dont allow for it!! anyway, good luck with it all...i was on the website the other day thinking how i wanted one of these.

From what i've heard the wavetrac operates the same in normal driving. I think it is the 02J, yes.

As far as i'm aware it shouldn't affect the way the ECS works. It only means that the front tyres have less of a tendency to break loose under acceleration.
Peter Jones commented in another thread that you need to buy some bolts for the Wavetrac while they're included with the Peloquin. Could you confirm this with you supplier(s) when settling on pricing?
Resident grumpy old fart VW - Metallic Paint, Radial Tyres, Laminated Windscreen, Electric Windows, VW Alloy Wheels, Variable Geometry Exhaust Driven Supercharger, Direct Unit Fuel Injection, Adiabatic Ignition, MacPherson Struts front, Torsion Beam rear, Coil Springs, Hydraulic Dampers, Front Anti-Roll Bar, Disc Brakes, Bosch ECU, ABS
Don't forget that along with the diff bolts (that should come with the peloquin unit). If you have an 02a or 02j box you should replace the pinion bearing cradle as they use single use stretch studs.

Yes that's true. It's your standard ARP ring gear bolt set. They're about $80.00.
Like Mik, I absolutely want one, but in about 6-8 weeks when I've cleared some current expenses, all my extra cash going into the Biz!
Yeah I know the feeling. This is only a feeler at the moment. It seems to have drummed up some interest, though. There is another company I'm looking into but they won't have kits ready until September.

Price on a units for 16V 020 and a 02J transaxles thanks Chris. Preference to A Wavetrac diff over a Peloquin for each please
Hey Grant.
I'm really only looking for expressions of interest here at the moment. I've got wind of another manufacturer bringing something out, but that won't be until September. I can wait that long, but i'm sure there is some of you who can't.
I don't have any finalised pricing at the moment, but rest assured I try and do my best.

Any details on what's in the pipeline? Those interested in the group buy may be willing to wait longer for a better product.

Very useful for trackwork where it's not at all uncommon to cock an inside wheel during tight cornering, particularly if you hit the ripple strip. On a standard torsion LSD, this would result in a total loss of drive to the wheel that still has grip (as all torque is transferred to the airborn wheel until it regains grip again - which it won't do well when it hits the ground again because it will have just spun up and will likely immediately break traction.
