aussia dollar dropped another cent, this is killing me. Start of this GB it was 92, now down to 85!!! Coincidently it was the germans responsible for the drop today.

I hope not to insult either of you, but if you read back in the threads these questions are answered. Speed: Rob and Dave have had huge amounts of hassle and stress with this GB. They're not going to do one for a long while now. Stephen: Final orders and final everything else means it is too late. Sorry.

No offence taken. I did read the thread but don't recall seeing anything saying that its definately not going to happen in future and was just asking when there will be another one. Personally I don't mind buying direct.

So just before I do this, I'm sending the full quoted amount (quoted in USD) as a personal money transfer in USD to you guys. This doesn't seem to incur any additional fee, so I don't need to add 1 or 2.5% on for conversion.

Also, if the back account confirmation takes 3-5 days to happen, I may run out of time for that. I would ideally like to do it this way as that'd avoid any extra charges but I don't know it'll happen in time.

yes correct, there is no 1%, read back a few posts, that was a mistake. the 2.5% is taken into account automatically with the currency conversion.
and yes they are aware that the e-checque thing for payments over $1000 apparently take a few days to clear with paypal, so just let them know payment is on it's way. i'm still waiting for money to transfer between my own bank accounts before i can do the paypal....

The 1% additional fee was WRONG (as McDub has pointed out, and I've acknowledged), and anyone who's paid it will have it refunded.

For those who have not paid as yet - please read the email we sent CAREFULLY. The 2.5% that was mentioned is if you pay by direct deposit into my bank account, because my bank DO charge that when we convert money to USD, as well as using conversion rate which is slightly in their favour compared to the daily quoted rate on the markets.

As noted, if you have a bank account linked to Paypal, payment is instant and does not attract any other fees as long as you make it a personal payment (if you say it's for the sale of items, there's a charge for us to accept the money, and we WILL refuse it and ask you to send it again (or ask that you cover the shortfall, your choice).

In good news, we had a few payments come in overnight, I'll email people about those today, and will provide another update later today with numbers of people who have or have not paid (no personal details, this isn't about naming and shaming!).

As an update - we have 30 people involved in the GB. We have received payment from 10 people, 3 others have indicated that money is coming (delays due to bank processing), 4 awaiting requotes due to mistakes at our end, and 4 people who have pulled out since final prices were sent.

That leaves 9 people we've neither heard from nor received money from. There's still a few days to go before the payment deadline that we set, so that's not an issue yet, but if you're reading this and haven't at least let us know your plans, please do so ASAP!

All requotes have been done.

We now have payments from 16 people, with 5 payments incoming. There are still 3 people from whom we have not heard. If you're one of those 3, please let us know your plans.
