Not wanting to lead this thread astray, but with the ECS website and the shopping cart I am very annoyed that you can't save certain things. As in, there are about 2 or 3 different buying "scenarios" I have in mind based either on things I want to do to my ride or (more commonly) shifting monetary policy by the Minister for Fun and Finance.
Do I have this wrong? Or does the ECS site really not allow a savable "shopping list" say?
Also, say if i buy the suspension refresh kit for next time around or maybe a sway bar, does ECS send install instructions or is it a case of relying on the forums for help?

If you want to save your cart just click on the tab >>page>>save as... and save it onto your computer hard drive, or printscreen it and paste it into paint or photoshop and save as a jpg or what I have is a small blank page diary and write the info down.
As for install instructions, if they don't come with the product normally then no you wont get them. This is the same for all stores, online or local.

regarding our email for how to pay....

I tested the pay system on paypal, and you've got the fees mixed up. The fees you talk are "cross border" fees.
As your email is a local account, the fee's are FREE for bank account transfers, and 2.4% for credit card transfers
And for clarity, the exchange rate Paypal give us includes a 2.5% curency conversion fee, which takes it down to about 86 cents. Damn aussie dollar!

edit: actually pretty easy! when you build your cart, just beside the "clear cart" icon on top right, there is "link to cart"
Right click and copy that to notepad, that is the same link i told you to make.
can't believe i've missed that, and i only discovered it from searching the page source!

Yeah you can save it. Just do a 'save as' and it saves as a .mht then you can clear the cart, make another and save that one. I used to do this when I only had internet at school, saves the web page exactly as you see it and then you can access it on your computer when offline strait from your documents. Just made another dream list, 6k worth, when the next group buy?! JK, you guys will need a holiday after this one!

That's great news. We assumed that cross border included transferring between currencies, as that was the safer assumption than assuming not (and potentially coming up short if that were the case).

If anyone has paid the 1% extra, I'll refund the difference.

it should be all good because the final figure you gave us didn't have any 1percent on it, and thats what was cofusing me. Meanwhile, effective xchange rate has now dropped below 85 cents. No doubt asoon as we pay the dollar will recover again. That's life i guess

Yeah, the dollar variations do suck - and you can see why we picked 0.80 as the exchange rate for DD payments now (given there's another couple of percent by the time banks offer their exchange rate, and then take 2.5% on top of that as commission!)

As an update - we have 30 people involved in the GB. We have received payment from 10 people, 3 others have indicated that money is coming (delays due to bank processing), 4 awaiting requotes due to mistakes at our end, and 4 people who have pulled out since final prices were sent.

That leaves 9 people we've neither heard from nor received money from. There's still a few days to go before the payment deadline that we set, so that's not an issue yet, but if you're reading this and haven't at least let us know your plans, please do so ASAP!

I would be another, waiting for my updated price due to parts being absent from the said list... Will process payment as soon as I receive updated price.

i wonder which of those 30 i am, probably a different catagory: "being a pain discussing algebra, economies of scale and complex numbers"
