Damn, trying to persuade a mate to get it but I don't think he will travel that far beautiful car, if I had the money and another spot I'd snap it up. Good luck mate!

I'm happy to make arrangements in terms of $$

Also your mate could easily make the drive to QLD, I've done it before. Haha, mate if I had the money and spot, I wouldn't think of selling it either

Bump! There seams to be heaps of interest in the wheels haha.

I am open to swaps/trade. My mum needs a car, so any newer non modified mk2/3/4/5/6 with cash adjustments either way will do, or motorbike etc. I'm always open to ideas

Last bump!!! $4,000 first and final price drop if sold within 2 weeks.

I will be removing all other advertising for the cabby apart from here. What frustrates me, is everyone see's some cool pic's of mk1's with BBS on the internet, and they all want it - not knowing behind the scenes what it takes to get them reliable and driving well. I've had heaps of interest in it but am unsure I want to sell it to just about anyone. It seams all the new mk6/7 owners who have never changed their own oil, want to buy an old golf since they have the new one.

There are heaps on Gumtree for the same if not higher price, that have 1/4 of the work I have done, and they all want the car for peanuts. Anyway rant over - I am happy to keep the advertising go on the forum in hopes that a forum member buys it and loves it. Otherwise I'll keep it and enjoy it during summer.

There's some crazy people out there. If I had the money I'd snap this up.

It's clear people don't appreciate the craftsmanship in a car like this! I say keep it man. Do a k20 swap and keep the gti original.

Plus, 2 mk1s is still not enough

Hi Jason, for the asking price, steelies will most definitely be sold with the car. And, it's sort of still for sale, only to a loving home. Inspection is welcome if you are a genuinely interested. Please inbox me with your contact details

Haha up to you bud, the cabby starts and drives no problems every single time. There are things that need to be sorted which I don't have time, but they are minor. Also will have to look into getting is engineered possibly (my price reflects that)
