VIC VW Mk6 Golf R for Sale - Selling Due to Health Reasons

Hello Everyone,

I never thought I’d be putting my Mk6 Golf R up for sale, but life can throw some unexpected challenges our way, and now I don’t have much of a choice.

To be upfront, I’ve been diagnosed with terminal cancer, and the doctors say my time is limited. As difficult as it is, I need to part with my pride and joy... I had always planned to keep my Golf R, so it is hard to go through this process. It may just be a Golf R to some, but to me, it’s been a passion.

I’m reaching out to the VW community in the hope of finding a true enthusiast who will appreciate and care for this car the way I have.

Interior is absolutely immaculate.

I also have a set of genuine VW Pretoria wheels and tires, but will be selling those separately.

To sweeten the deal, I have many of the standard VW parts that have been swapped out. So theoretically you could put the car back to stock config.

Hi Greg. I remember you from the "other VW forum" years ago. Very sorry to hear about your health - thoughts are with you and your family.

You have an absolutely immaculate example of a Mk6 R - what a beautiful car. Please do not sell that to anyone other than a proper genuine enthusiast who will look after it. I'd love to buy it myself and if it was for sale about a year ago when I purchased my current car I would have heavily considered it.

Hey Lucas, small world mate, great to hear from you. Those were good times back on the other forums and the car meets we had in Melbourne.

Yeah, I am absolutely gutted to be selling my R, but my wife has no need for it, so prefer to get it in the hands of someone that will appreciate it.

That's a great suggestion, thanks for the idea. I've been to Day of the Volkswagen years ago, it was always a good day.

Unfortunately my cancer treatment is brutal, and I have a session 2 days before Day of the Volkswagen, so would need to see if I was well enough to drive to Yarra Glen.
