My 2010 GTI has had a timing belt failure and damaged the cams. Spent $2K so far on diagnosis (taking engine apart) and they have said:

- Top cover if repairable (another $300 to assess) will cost $9K to fix
- But engine has corrosion from coolant spilling,...

All parts available apart from the gearbox. It has 120k kilometers and a full service history. It was only written off due to hail damage. Has a leather interior with sports seats in decent condition. Engine runs beautifully. It's the "Pacific" model with upgraded everything. Let me know what...
