well my 2008 vw jetta had been low speed crunched by the pO (hence him getting rid of it)
the bumper mounting tabs had broken and the whole thing was pretty saggy and pretty ugly looking
did a bit of plastic welding with a soldering iron.. just clean the plastic a bit with isopropyl...

Welding - do you need to disconnect battery?
Hey guys was chatting with a mate tonight about some welding exhaust work he's going to do on my GTI and he asked about disconnecting the battery as he did it so as to not fry the computer. Does this sound right?? also is there anything special you need to do to connect the battery and reconnect?
