2009 Golf Mk6 - 118TSI - 1.4 - 5K1 - CAVD Engine
Hi All,
I am seeking some guidance on running-in an engine which has had new pistons and rings (de-glazed bore).  My normal engine oil is Penrite ENVIRO+ 5W30.  
Question
Am I meant to use a different grade...

 Picked up my new car yesterday - 2020 Golf R 7.5Hi all,
 
 Just sold my 2014 Megane RS265 and replaced it with a 2020 Golf R Mk7.5.
 
 Looking forward to getting through the running-in period so I can have some fun with it!

 Tips for breaking in a brand new engine?Hey guys,
 
 I started another thread with this question in it however i thought it was worth starting a thread specifically dedicated to the topic as there seems to be mixed opinions.
 
 What are your tips to breaking in a new engine of a GTi or Golf alike?

 For Tig TDI ownersHi guys.
 
 I was just researching running in a TDI engine as I take delivery of mine tomorrow. I am so glad I did because I was about to stuff my engine up. I thought a nice long drive on the weekend cruising along the freeway to the Hunter Valley would be ideal for running in my engine....
