Has anyone with standard headlights on a B6 Passat upgraded to LED?
If yes, what product did you buy and how much work was involved?

Why is 504 / 507 oil so readily available when it should not be used here?
The owner's manual says to only use 504 00 / 507 00 oil in markets where the fuel meets EN 228 standards (10ppm sulphur), otherwise to use 502 00 oil instead. Australian 95 and 98 RON fuel can be up to 50ppm sulphur and does not meet EN 228 fuel standards, therefore 502 00 oil should be used (according...

Aftermarket Product Recommendations
Hi all,
Looking for product recommendations for various bolt-on parts etc.

I've been using a 90 ml can of VAG Multipurpose Additive for petrol G 001 770 A2 about every 3 months to help clean the injectors and valves. Can't feel any difference but hopefully it's doing some good.
However what about decarbon? Does anyone know if VW recommend the use of a product...

New Ross Tech cable: HEX-V2
Seems like Ross Tech has released a new product -designed specifically for the "enthusiast" market - like many here (including me).
Here's an extract from the "Benevolent Dictator" (Uwe Ross), himself:...
It's 2017 now and we're unveiling or new generation wired

Sticky windows
I have a Mk5 golf and a couple of the windows are starting to get very slow when going up and down, and i think it's time to lubricate the channels - one of them has a 50% chance of the auto-close failing even after adaptation.
I've done some research and it seems the correct product...

High Oil Consumption
My Skoda 2L TSI engine has always had high oil consumption, over 1L per ~1,500km
Between oil changes I would typically use an entire 5L oil pack at a cost of ~$70
I have tried using 0W40 oil but it made no difference
I put the car into European Autotech in Mona Vale for a walnut...

Anyone used AIR-CELL Insulbreak for their Campervan Insulation
Over the last 2 weeks, I've read back to 2008 on threads about Campervan insulation and couldn't see any info on anyone using AirCell.
The AIR-CELL Insulbreak 65 looks like a great product as it is a 3 in 1 product, closed cell, reflective and great for a thermal break between the van.....

CRC Disc Brake Quiet-Squeaking Brakes
Looks like there are more than a few of us that have squeaky brakes on our GTI and R. I read somewhere in this forum that the discs cannot be machined but certain brakes shops seem to suggest that they can. Can they or cant they be machined?
I read that there is a product called CRC Disc...Last edited by Night Rider; 03-09-2015, 09:54 PM.
