First car - 2019 VW Arteon R-line. Bought it brand new and am having some issues.

Came here to get some help around what to mod, what to look out for, what to do to maintain upkeep, as well as which places to go to get said work done.

I've got a few particular issues with the way the DSG operates in my 2015 Octavia.

A pretty common one I've noted (from posts in lots of other placeS) is the shifting up way too early and holding onto taller gears too much before shifting down. Even with my 135kW TDi, anything under 1500rpm...

Anyone upgraded or replaced the suspension on this car. I was told rear shocks are leaking. Any recommendation on brands and places to do the job please?

Found oil leaks on the floor last week, and opened engine cover found two places with obvious oil mark.

What's happening with my b8 passat? This is the 4th year, but will have 60000km 48 months service next Monday. Gonna ask the dealer first to diagnose and quote from others.

Just wanted to see if anyone knew of some good places to get custom interior carbon fibre parts for the mk7 golf R? Besides the shoddy places like Ali express, Amazon and eBay, don’t trust their quality.

I’ve found heaps of places with exterior parts, but...

Found a crack at the base of my windscreen near the drivers side windscreen wiper around 1-2 inches long.

Any recommendation for places that can fix it?

Otherwise will look at a replacement.

Worked as a VW tech, way back in the 1960s after my military service. Returned to VW for personal use in 2006. Since then, an 02 Jetta/TDI, an 06 JSW/TDI, a '12 JSW/TDI and sadly stuck now w/ a 2016 GSW/TSI. Love the ride(s) not so much the "doo-daddy" electronics.
