Took my Mark 6 90TSI Golf to the dealership yesterday. Since my last service in September I have had a minor oil leak. They confirmed that it was from the sump plug, and fitted a new plug with some sealer on the thread. No charge and all is good.

They did say that it would need a new sump...

I am keen on a 2nd hand TSI between the years 2013-2016. Just wondering if any owners here can vouch for their long term reliability? Happy to budget extra to ensure maintenance is done on time, I am only concerned about costly mechatronics and dry clutch replacements. Currently driving my parents manual...

I really want to get it back on the road and ive seen so many out there getting parted out and then thrown in the crusher such a shame, a few years ago i went out to see a guy somewhere in between Queanbeyan and Bungendore...

My beloved 1997 MK3 Cabrio 2l petrol AGG manual 5sp gearbox has disintegrated so, first...has anybody got a spare one? and secondly......is there an alternative that fits?
