Hi. My 2017 Tiguan is just about to turn over 100,000k, and main dealer service is getting pretty expensive. I'm in Newport; does anyone have a recommendation for an independent service centre near me?Last edited by Lucas_R; 17-03-2023, 11:33 AM.

Has anyone had the same issue before. Was it an expensive repair bill.

My mandatory intro :)
Hi all, I'm sure I was already a member (I've definitely posted her before but not for a while) but had to re-register.
Anyway ... I left my oil filler cap off after topping up (again) and need a replacement. I'm not keen to ask a dealer as heart medication is expensive. I've contacted a couple...

T4 V6 Caravelle ECU
Hi Guys,
I have a 2003 Caravelle that is cutting out in this hot weather. I am pretty sure that it is the ambient temperature of the ECU, having replaced or checked the usual suspects. Can anybody let me know what is involved in changing the ECU out for a new one and do I need to...

I'm looking for some insight to help decision making how to approach a potentially expensive fuel system repair.
What can I expect for other known failures and costs associated with Tiguans between 200,000 & 250,000km's

How expensive are R36's to maintain?
Do many things go wrong with them and are they significantly more expensive to maintain compared to a GTI?
Looking for a comfortable GT car with a bit of power around the $10k mark at the moment.

Yeti running cool
Hi all - My Skoda Yeti 2.0 litre tdi isn't getting hot enough and I'm suspecting the thermostat being stuck open. Strangely it started since removing the bottom cover plate after spotting fluid from the dsg which turned out to be a leaky O ring on the filter..I ran the car for a couple of days without...

Used 1st gen Tiguan, what to look out for?
Am in need of a reasonably priced second car, and there's a lot of used pre-facelift first gen Tiguans for sale that are not too expensive. I am wondering what problems there can be with these? I have previously owned a few Golfs and a Passat, but no Tiguan.
