my polo died a few days ago and it looks like cyl 1 has crapped itself.

Any advice on a place or someone I can take it to for repair?

I'm also going to take it to the dealer and ask for a goodwill claim, they have been pretty good in the past so...

I have a rough running T5 that gets progressively worse , restarting the van helps initially . Theres no fault codes at all , i'm using VCDS to be able to check codes (no codes) . .

Latest service on 2014 Polo came up with error codes - timing angle retardation on cyl. 1 to 4 as well as codes for misfires on cylinder 1 (0 of), cyl 3 (1), cyl 4 (68 of) and cyl 6 (?) (0). Mechanic suggests timing chain tensioner is faulty and need to replace along with timing chain. Only 68K km...

How do i know if the head of my mk3 vr6 is timed correctly, i was not the one who removed the head so i am not too sure if they set the timing to cyl #1 tdc before removing it..
