Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi all,

I have a rough running T5 that gets progressively worse , restarting the van helps initially . Theres no fault codes at all , i'm using VCDS to be able to check codes (no codes) . .
    Screenshot - 944726c694b7d3d3576fbe344cc935ce - Gyazo
I noticed that the fuel injectors seem way off , i thought tolerance was around 0.2 deviation if i recall but my numbers are way out but no recorded errors.
    Cyl 1 : -0.5
    Cyl 2 : 1.04
    Cyl 3 : -0.31
    Cyl 4 : -0.21
    Cly 5 : -0.4

Can anyone confirm this as potentially being my rough running issue ? Other cars (VW and Skoda) i've had similar issues with trigger engine management code etc but not this time .
Also, if it is the injectors at fault , can anyone confirm the part number for a 2008 BPC engine as i need to ideally keep the van movable until i get the parts in and to just check the part number directly off the injector involves removing the entire intake manifold etc.

    Thanks in advance .

Hi, did you ever get this resolved? I have an AXE and suspect the injectors. Cheers, Danny

I use a bottle of diesel injector cleaner in three 100ml doses over each year, never have any problem with irregular running or starting. If injectors are very blocked, it's worth putting some in your tank then run for long enough to get it through the pump and lines and into the injectors, say 10 min running. You can then have that sitting there dissolving the blockages over time even if you aren't using the car. You will be amazed at the difference it makes, generally takes about three tanks worth (300mL bottle) to get engine running perfectly.
