Just been contemplating crankcase ventilation and how it works in the non turbo FSI engines.

As far as I can determine the crankcase is kept under a constant vacuum by the operation of the PCV valve in the rocker cover.

Does anyone have any idea what the amount of vacuum...

Hi, I have to buy two of these Actuator mechanisms for my GTI. Need to know if they are the same as the FSI model.

I am aware that the right and left side of the car is different.

Hi all. I’ve got a 2008 caddy maxi with 1.6i and 5speed manaual. This motor is locked up. I also have a mk5 Jetta with 2.0 FSI and 6speed auto to fit to caddy. Mechanically the swap looks doable but the Jetta loom will need to be used partly at least I think. Does it splice in to the caddy loom ok?...

does anyone know the part number of the pump including seals, or just the seals? i have an FSI motor on a 07 GTI. looks to be leaking quite a lot unfortunately

wondering if anyone bothers to do the seals or just replace the whole thing?
