  • New Hot hatch competition

This will out muscle a 3MPS and will seriously start to outgun VW offerings. I'd be looking forward to seeing what other car makes strike back with and how they intend to get a step ahead.

    Hmmm...
Looks pretty sweet. It's going to want to hope that the diff at the front is damn good otherwise it's going to be an absolute pig with that much power and torque going to the front wheels. Also remember that the last Focus RS had a brilliant diff on the track but was awful to drive on the road because of it. That's according to Top Gear and Jeremy Clarkson anyway.
    Cheers,
    Trent

Regardless of what they say in the article it's still a FWD.

And 220kw is too much for FWD, no matter how you set it up.

I'm getting tired of FWD at the moment. I feel AWD or even RWD coming up in the future (again).

Last RS was FWD but yeah it definitely should've been AWD.

Looks pretty good on the outside. The interior needs work. Kind of reminds of my own colour concept green vr6, but my seats are far greener

I'm impressed they are selling it in Australia although can't imagine it will be under 60K. I used to work with someone who bought an Escort RS turbo new, pretty quick back in the day!

This would have to go down as one of the best cars Ford has made in the past 20 years.

Considering that its going to be well over 60k, it has to be AWD. Unless any of the other manufacturers decide to make outlandishly overpowered FWD hatches I can't see a market for this car at all. Well not in the 60k bracket...

Even the Volvo's are going AWD...

That's hot. Let's hope it makes VW/Audi step it up.

S3 is still an easy winner for those sorts of dollars.
