VW only had an assembly plant in Australia from 1954 to 1975. My 3dr Golf GTI is from Wolfsburg (and sitting on a ship somewhere right now!)
Went for the 3dr purely on a looks basis and found out later it was made in Germany not South Africa like the 5dr - good news to me!Comment
