      Routan has actually not been revealed yet, tomorrow (night) pictures will be released.

      The Routan is based on the new Chysler Voyager (not released here yet) and American VW Enthusiasts are not happy with this 'rebadge' and would rather the Microbus.

      Problem is Microbus project is too expensive for American market hence VW choosing to build upon a Chrysler platform.

      Below reasons why other VW MPVs could not fill USDM needs

      Touran - too small.

      Sharan - small by US standards and old (new one will probably be too small too).

      Caravelle/Multivan - too expensive due to Tax to import.

                    I like it, just wait till 2018 and every car will look like that. Enormous crumple zones due to the absent/small motor, funky colours and most likely made from recyclable plastics.

                    But don't worry, they won't ALL look like that
