I mean can you buy it in your local newsagent??
Or is subscription the only way?

Subscription is the best way to get it.

I've seen it at various newsagencies but they don't supply them continously.

Most newsagencies get in what they can sell, if it doesn't walk out the door every (or at least most) months they will stop getting it. That said, if you bail them up and have them get it in for you I'm sure it will always be there

I get PVW at my local, sure it's a few months behind, but it's convenient. Once upon a time it was cheaper than getting a sub too... with the current exchange rate that's no longer the case and I really should subscribe instead, but then I'm used to this now and am supporting the local guys while I'm at it
