During fuel shortages after the war in the late 40's there were coal-powered VW bettles running around Germany.


VW should consider coal power for all their cars. That would piss of a few more greenies. I wonder how my GTI would go on coal? I would probably get stung with a carbon tax.... lol

But seriously, i think there are plenty of other car companies which Greenpeace could be targeting here who are not as environmentally concsious. I think VW have been trying to hard to produce environmentally friendly vehicles, like the Golf Bluemotion and developing cleaning engines.

From an organisation which burns huge amounts of fuel powering its multi million dollar boat fleet for pointless chases across the high seas, it seems rather hypocritical.
