  • VIDEO: VW Golf Wild Boar test

    The first test is about a car without ESP/ESC, point being that it slides with it's side into oncoming traffic (it's weakest point of protection)

    The second shows a car with ESP/ESC, point being that you don't lose control but still crash with oncoming traffic. Note how the Mk4's ESP works, those early systems don't inspire too much confidence.

    The third and last test shows what you should do, they tell you that you should not try to avoid the boars, because even though the car is probably totaled afterwards, it's safer for you and oncoming traffic.

    Looked to me like even after hitting the boar the car swerved into oncoming traffic. Best solution is to slow down in boar zones.

      that clip was disappointing. the least they could have done was used live boars! LOL
