Aren't alot of our cars built to order (hence the big wait), so they have less issue with lots of stock sitting around? Is it the same overseas or just an aussie tihng?

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Many are built to order as VWA has such a low stock allocation and don't have any stock in the first instance.

VW seem on top on the game. Although 70% off your shares is a shocker..

I have heard that Holden are working for 4 weeks in the first 3 months of next year...... That must be pretty tough for the workforce to sustain themselves.

Lots of car manufacturers are feeling the financial pain at the moment, I guess VW were smart enough to prepare for this. Others are not so fortunate.

According to the Daily Telegraph Chrysler and GM may have only enough cash, to keep them from filing for bankruptcy, until early January.

Audi has also withdrawn from the American Le Mans series in 2009. But they will continue to compete in the French 24 hour La Mans.

It is not going to be a good year for Motorsports.
