every time i click on new posts, i'm getting 3 pages of threads, and about 2 of those pages are are ebay things! (half of which are air cooled!)
is there any way to stop this?

the bot has a registered "account" as a member......someone approved the membership, unless this forum is on auto-approve for membership requests.Originally posted by Jarred View Posti don't think its a member as such, more a program thats part of the forum..MY16 Touareg 4.2Lt V8 TDI/Pure White LED lightbox/REDARC Brake Controller/ Racechip/iDrive Throttle controller

Join date..... Oct 1985? I don't think it's an approved member, I reckon it's either hacked into the system or is part of the operating program which will post anything with VW related keywords.

if you look on the forum home page, in the classified section, there is a whole section for 'ebay autobot', hence why i think it's a program that's part of the new forum upgrade (well, not new anymore but you know)
I really don't see a need for it. I'm sure all of us can go onto ebay and type in "volkswagen" or "VW".
that, and it keeps cloggin up my new posts' page!

It's not included in the search index and I was trying to turn it off in the new posts... haven't worked that out yet.Originally posted by JustCruisn View PostCan it be turned off or maybe set to not show in new posts list ?
It's now dead. The idea sounded a lot nicer more useful than how it turned out.
