Spotted a Red Mk1 GTI at UPULLIT Lonsdale today. Was looking mint. Had a duck bill and the lip at the end of the bonnet. Really nice looking Mk1. Sitting on big shiny rims and a shiny exhaust.

If the owner is reading, I was the guy standing at the back of my Mercedes 190E with the boot lid open staring at you hard haha

Black Polo GTI (9N model) heading towards the Bay on Diagonal Road 7am Friday. Pretty sure it had a badged or black grille and other mods.. Only caught it at out of my eye at the last second but looked good.

RB 5dr R turning off Main North Road near Bunnings tonight (Weds 13/2) at 8.30ish pm
It was the tail lights that caught my eye..truly awesome looking!
Then the stunning blue, pity it was so bloody dark would love to see this colour in the daylight

Driving down Port Rd at around 8:15am I saw a nice blue R32... something tells me is must be a DSG.



Then as I was walking back from lunch I saw the same car again! This time it was parked on Sir Donald Bradman Drive and I got a bit better look.

It was a blue R32 that first turned me on to VW a few years back and now I have my own Golf I couldn't imagine driving anything else

Hi there Huss,

That was me and my MK1. You should have come over for a chat!
Have had her 19 years now and bought her over when we emigrated 5 years ago (along with my Corrado VR6 Storm).
I built a BRM 2 Litre motor for it on an 8V solid lifter block. It has the Cosworth forged pistond and long crank. Also a Turbo Technics T3 Turbo kit and an Emerald ECU with custom bult loom running a MAP sensor system, distributor less coil pack, mapped boost, G60 Injectors, Trigger wheel and 3 stage selectable maps. Custom intercooler based on Turbo Technics design, and very big Mocal oil cooler. Exhaust is custom built staninless system with ceramic coated downpipe. Also has a Scirocco ACD code gearbox with the bigger drive shafts, a Peloquin ATB differential, 280mm Corrado G60 front brakes, rear disc conversion and mk2 servo conversion. Best thing is she looks pretty stock from the outside but make 175BHP and 200ft/lbs of torque at 8lbs of boost, so is no slouch!
Suffice to say it was not easy to get through Regency, but got there in the end, so is all engineered and leagal with documents always carried in the glove box to prove it
