Recommended Independent Mechanical - Sydney Inner West

Can anyone recommend a good reputable independent mechanic/garage near to Sydney's Inner West?

I've just had my 12 month service with the original VW dealer I bought the R from and to be honest I'd like it to be the last time I use VW for servicing or general work.

Ideally I'd like to start using a local independent (preferably a VAG specialist) but I don't know of any or have any feedback on which are recommended and which are to be avoided.

Also looking to get a performance downpipe ASAP so this would be my first job for them, any recommendations from anyone who has bought and had a DP for a Golf R would be great (see my other post http://www.vwwatercooled.com/forums/...ns-112058.html )

As recommended in the other post- exoticars at north parra. Not only cheaper than any of the vw stealerships but Arthur will do a better job and knows his stuff

Paul at Mullerhaus, Strathfield. I haven't been myself, as it's not near me, but I know plenty of people who vouch for him.

Thanks guys, I'll give them both a call and maybe pop in next weekend. The only thing that puts me off Exoticars is the location, I'd really prefer something closer to home (inner west - Five Dock/Rozelle/Drummoyne/Liechhardt).
