OE, OEM & Genuine replacement parts for European cars. Your online source for VW, Audi, BMW, MINI, Mercedes, Porsche, Saab & Volvo parts since 1995.

These guys have been great. I've needed a few mechanical bits and pieces and being able to shop online has saved me a lot of time.

I've paid for EMS shipping (The fastest USPS option) and the goods are here in about 4 days! There's no way I could even find the parts I'm looking for in Melbourne let alone get them delivered to my door in that time frame.

Even with the postage I reckon the prices are comparable to prices here IF you can find the parts you're after.

My 3rd shipment is on the way!

German Auto Parts are very good, I've used them a bunch of times.

Great service and fast delivery with cheap prices. It's amazing some of the differences, like in Australia a Ryco oil filter for a VR6 is about $30, GAP sell a Mann filter for about $10 (VW Aust sell the filters for about $45 )

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Just bought the gear linkage repair kit, service was great and the parts arrived so quickly. And with the Ozzie dollar so good at the moment they are even cheaper than before.

They don't sell too many Mk1 parts, do they ? Their website only list down to Mk2.

That's because there are no mark 1 GOLFs in the US.

Search under RABBIT or CABRIO for mark 1 parts - they have plenty

Just got another parcel from them today. I took a gamble on the postage and brought in a radiator! Worked out more than $150 cheaper than buying a new one here.

Have a look at http://www.usps.com EMS delivery here means that it's being sent "EXPRESS MAIL" from the states. (Priority Mail is equivalent to our Express Post.)

              There's a calculator here http://ircalc.usps.gov/

It's a bit hard to find, but here's the shipping rates and services to Australia for the various shipping services. http://pe.usps.gov/text/imm/ab_012.htm

The last parcel I got contained a MK 1 radiator, some hoses, dizzy caps, gaskets, fuel cap and a temp sender. I had it sent express because I wanted it in a hurry. I took about 7 days and cost US$71.

I think the parcel before that was about US$30-$40 which is pretty good value considering how far it's got to come and the speed that it gets here in. The small parcels only seem to take 3-4 days with this option.

The exchange rate I was charged was $AU1=US$0.91.

              Happy shopping!

Last time i ordered like a new clutch kit, tie rod ends, new bushings, cv boots and shipping was only $101USD which i thought was cheap. If ur total is too heavy tho they have to use courier which bumps up the price a lot.

                  cheers guys

Yea they have a few good things (alot) and the prices seem good. especially with our exchange rate.

Im just after a fan control module, lower control arm bushes and maybe a window regulator (if they are the same spec as aus) for the VR so shipping shouldnt be too bad I dont think.

I just ordered a whole load of parts from GAP, new front and rear HD bushes and bearings, control arm bushes, hoses, oil filters, other small bits and pieces, and paid (including shipping) a tad more than I would have paid for JUST the front OEM front bushes over here in Aus.... sooo much cheaper and with the 4 day shipping its great!

Have used these guys maybe 10 times now, Only had 1 box of a 2 box shipment get damaged ( at New Jersey mail centre ) they re- packed the contents in a new box and forwarded here.

Had to claim about $80 US for items that went missing, claim payment came thru no probs ( insurance is covered automatically with USPS apparently )

Just ordered $900 worth of almost obsolete scirocco parts from a mate in Nebraska that works for a dealer there. Be more to follow.

Cost is usually better than i can get here. like its been said, even with postage included. wasnt so hot a few years ago when the aussie dollar was struggling to buy 0.50 US tho...
                        Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

                        Cheers,
                        Grant...

I've used GAP also, and they were great !

They were great in their follow up, shipped ASAP (maybe a bit too fast ) and the longest wait was for UPS here to get their sheeeeeeeeet together (arrived in Sydney on Friday morning, and customs cleared Monday evening !!!)

Quick in their responses also - much better experience than ECS Tuning.

                            Hi

Make sure you keep the orders under $1000.00 including freight or the tax man will want his bit as well. Try to avoid using FedEx etc, they charge much higher than USPS

To give u an idea the tax man takes 10% duty of the price paid, then another 10% of the cost+shipping and finally a $48 fee for processing
