Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Where to source a fuel pump for 1J2 Bora V6 motion

    Hi all,

Noobie here. The fuel pump on my 2001 VW Bora V6 4motion died.

Where can I order a new one in Sydney Australia?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you,

    Marc

Try Euro Revolution or VAGParts....both in Sydney. Euro Revolution in particular seems to specialise in parts for a lot of Mk3-Mk5 era cars.

Do you have the part number off the current pump?

      Thank you Lucas,

I'll give them a go. Looks like the part number is 1J0919051H.

There are certainly some options online (from the UK/Europe) searching for that part # if you cant find one locally. 110 581 - Fuel Feed Unit | Spareto

Also found a few 2nd hand ones locally. For instance: VW GOLF BORA MK4 USED FUEL PUMP 1J0 919 051 H - Parts 4 European Cars

Thank you Lucas, just waiting to hear back from the Oz suppliers if they have the unit in stock.
