If as a pensioner you dont pay rego how can you get a refund

Good point but if you cancel your insurance you should get a pro-rata refund. That was what I was trying to say.

Yep just pay your NSW bit. And then move and be prepared to get a new Roadworthy, inspection etc and then surrender the plates and get a pro rata refund. No other way. You will likely need to possibly redo the insurance as well if it's a NSW only policy, but there will be a change as the rate is based on where you live.
