After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • How much would VW Golf 7 stock 15" steelies + Michelin sell for?

    Hi,

I recently bought a set of alloys and new tyres so was looking to sell my stock 15" wheels with Michelin Energy Saver tyres. They've only done about 7000km, how much would I be able to sell them for?

    Cheers,
    Rik.

i know the wheels as a set with no tyres are aprox 20-30 bucks for the whole set, tyres on the other hand used could go for about 70 each

I picked up a 15" rim with new Continental tyre from VW dealer (to replace the stupid space saver spare) for $130 a few months back, for what that's worth. Brand new, excess for them because of alloys getting fitted as sales incentives. So, rim essentially free and tyre discounted a reasonable bit.

I reckon the wheels are worthless, probably just the next owners problem to dispose of. The tyres may be worth around 1/2 retail price either on or off the wheels depending on the buyers needs.

i agree with howardv, retail would be a bit over 100 a tyre so maybe $200 for the set?

I was bidding on a set of 195/50/15's on fiesta steelies recently... they went for $20.50 although most likely because of the weird stud pattern
