  • Bye VW and Thank you all

just wanted to say thanks to all forum members who have helped along the way..VW is my first ever turbo car and I enjoyed every bit of it! I think I will always have a soft corner for VW, especially the GTI..hopefully I will return in few years time..

for the time being, bring on A250

Nice one - hope you enjoy the Merc. Starting to see a few of them around now and i like them.

If you ever return to VW, stay away from the 1.4 twincharge engine and 7 speed DSG and you will have a better experience.

Thanks mate. Yes , looking forward to the new experience. Agree, heard too many horror stories about 1.4 but trust me, I have had no issues (except asking for oil few times) in 2.5 years! May be just lucky

No. The (DQ200) 7 speed is used in the lower powered and cheaper Polo, Golf and Jetta models. The bigger and more powerful Golf, Jetta etc etc models use either a 6 speed DSG (DQ250) or a 7 speed (DQ500) DSG.

The 7 speed DQ200 is rubbish. The 6 speed wet clutch DQ250 you will have in your TDI is much more reliable.

long story..waited 7 months for the car, used 4 months and had to sell it..I did not enjoy the drive at all..It was overall a good package but could not live with DCT..especially because I had driven DSG before..It had all the luxury one would want but lacked driver involvement, IMO, anyway
