Hi Guys,
I think I have to post up a new thread about my terrible experience at North Shore Volkswagen.
Excitingly, I have just bought my new VW Golf MK7 110 TDI Highline at North Shore Volkswagen. However, such a nice car gives me bad time already.
1st issue: front wind screen wiper-does not squeeze the water in a rainy day! Terrible vision
2nd issue: Engine stop/start stops working on the day I just picked up my new car. After 80 kms driving, engine won't stop and car status says: car is not driving!
3rd issue: left hand side mirror goes up instead of going down when it's in reverse gear!
4th issue: left hand side front passenger window stays up 1 cm higher than the door trim when it's all the way down!
5th issue: fuel cap stuck when you press the cap and I have to manually use nail to open it!
6th issue: dimming rear view mirror sometimes does not work properly!
As mentioned above, these are all the problems that I have met so far. I really don't know what's going to happen next and am wondering why a brand new car will have so many issues?
I picked up my car at North Shore Volkswagen on 20th of Feb and on 21st of Feb, I went back to them because the engine stop/start stops working and says car is not driving and the front wind screen wiper does a bad job. I rang them in the morning on 21st of Feb to mention the problems. They say they're gonna give me a call back in 10 minutes. I have waited for 45 minutes and I rang them again because I realised that they haven't 'prepared' to deal with this issue and I just told them I would be there soon. When I got there. The service MANAGER says to me it's 'NORMAL'. HELL NOT!!! Any further explanation? NO!!! Just a 'NORMAL'. I have to say the engine stop/start is a bit annoying because it depends on the way I drive and how the car has been driven but at least you should have a look and do some checks!! There's no checks or explanation at all! They just keep playing game! Then, what about the front wind screen wiper? MANAGER says because it's brand new and it takes a while to get used to squeeze the water. Come on!!! I'm not boy scout!!! It's not first time that I own a car and new front wind screen wiper and I know it's a common issue! He thinks I'm playing around and I'm a picky person! I talked to the other guy about this issue and gets replied like 'I will have a look at another 110 TDI and see if it does the same thing!'. Alright, Cool. I went back home. Never hear any news or replies any more!
Alright, I rang them again, they're still using the same words 'I will have a look at another 110 TDI and see if it does the same thing'.
After one week, I found my left hand side mirror goes up instead of going down when gear is selected to reverse! I'm surprisingly shocked because the way how funny it works!!! Has anyone seen this happening before? What do you want me to look at while doing parallel parking? The SKY? Also, the front passenger side window won't be fully down and stays up about 1 cm higher than the door trim! Very nice!!! I really have a question, is this "Brand New" VW Golf MK7 110 TDI Highline really brand new? Or it's been in an accident? I don't want to think any more! That's it!! I rang them and emailed to them again about the four issues! Now they're playing a new game called 'ball kicking'. Service people say 'you have to ask the person who sold the car to you'. The person who sold the car to me says 'you have to talk to the service department'. Ok, fine! Doesn't matter whose fault, it's part of the service that all of you have to give to me! From then, no one calls me back and replies my emails! Now their attitude turns 180 degrees around. 'Sorry, I'm really busy, Bye!' No words can describe!
Now the major issue comes to me. The fuel cap won't be pressed-open. I have to use my nail to manually open it! I have to ring them again tomorrow and see what they say.
I will see and I will give them a tit for a tat!!
This Terrible experience gives all our member a warning that please find a correct dealer and make sure they don't bull**** to you! I really have had enough!
