Heat from panoramic sunroof

Just wondering whether anyone who has a full length panoramic sunroof (full roof black glass) on any car can comment on how much heat it adds to the car in full Australian summer conditions.

When I had a passat with pano, not much... a mate with a dualis however, that let in tons of heat...

You will have to ask which car...

(although neither is as bad as hot canvas 5mm from your cranium...)

Sunroof glass can differ wildly the huge German sunroof maker Webasto use a glass technology originally held exclusively by Hollandia , it is called Venus Glass it gives 99% uv protection and 95% heat block . Webasto now own Hollandia so they also use that glass in aftermarket and Factory sunroofs . Other companies use the Venus Glass as the limitation has now been removed so others can use it as well , but some still cling to the older technology at the discomfort of their customers .
