I have a little bit of an odd request but am hoping someone out there with the right tools can help me out.

I need to get some timber plates made up to mount some wall lights, round with a 210mm face + routed edge (and whatever that adds to the overall diameter) with a 12mm hole in the centre, all in about 20mm timber of some sort then stained (which I can do it needs be).

The place that has made a bit of our timber furniture has said they can't do something like this (they apparently don't do round). I'd give it a bash but don't have the tools.

Can anyone help me out with what is a pretty simple and small job?

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

I have no skills or word work tools, so am absolutely of no use to you Hawk, except for this free bump

    Someone give The_Hawk a hand!

God knows he puts more than enough time and effort into this forum.

The Golf MK1 section could have some more skilled people there. For sure someone in NSW has a Triton bench saw and the router in his shed.

I would help but i'm not in Australia at the moment. If you can hang on a few weeks i could do them ..

I am shocked that this furniture maker told you he doesn't 'do round' though?

Try another cabinetmaker in your area mate? Anyone with a router should be able to sort that out easily enough …
