ok. that's clear again. jst because too many ppl have too many opinions and really don't know who is real honest.
for example, by tuning it properly, for a k03 car, it can get ard 143kw and 325Nm from chipping the ecu but im worry abt the transmission because lots of ppl were saying that mq 250 and mq 350 can't hold more than 250Nm and 350Nm respectively. However, some ppl say that don't worry abt the transmission...it's confusing because i jst want to know whether the transmissions mentioned above can hold that much power frm chipping the ecu or not. if not, at least i can prepare for that...
So ur suggestions, Gavin?
Really appreciate...
I had 165kwatw of my AGU engined A3. You've nothing to worry about with the gearbox. A long in the tooth clutch will give up long before the box.

Alright. do u have any build thread abt ur AGU A3? for example, what do i need to do abt the engine mods and wat is really necessary?
oh yea, nearly forgot! wbt a 3" TBE? will it work well with a tuned AGU engine? is it too big and too loud or it's jst too loud?
Yeah, The A3 had a 3 inch TBE. 2.5 inch is plenty for the system. Mine was custom made, but you can easily buy off the shelf systems these days.
SPM at dubaddiction and 42dd at carformance. Before you ask, they both come up in google
Gavin
haha. i know both of them and they can be found very easily. they r pretty popular but like what u said 'custom made'...does that mean ur TBE is not a brand frm anyone but made by ur enquiries? If so, what material you are using?...i know stainless steel 304 and 316...or maybe some others? ur opinions?
I ran a 710N for the last 2 years... they perform very well with a chipped k03.. but when you can get a forge knockoff on ebay for $50... its a no brainer to get that instead of the 710N. The diaphragm would vibrate in my 710N when boost was building. Annoying as all hell. I tried 2x 710N's aswell.. both did the same thing.
It was stainless, I just took it in and had it made, this was in 2006. Wouldn't bother with stainless now, coated mild steel is plenty good enough for a road car IMO.

wbt ceramic coating?
some ppl said 304 is good because of less corrosion but 316 is better for Oceania countries like Au because of salty air...anyway, i don't care. lol
im thinking abt getting a custom made TBE and intake pipe...
under what circumstances, i need to change big braking system? i've been searching for a long time and some ppl say ud better change it once u've tuned ur ecu...like ur car, 165kw atw, have u changed big braking system?
Australia is hardly salty, OE exhausts last 10 years in the UK. Over here mine is 13 on my S3 and cracking on still, so that's rubbish.
You can fit bigger brakes if you want but there's no need until you do a turbo change.
That thread of mine is 4 years old now, the car is long gone but the exhaust is still in use.
Why ceramic coating for the insulating properties or corrosion prevention? No need for either really and to do a full exhaust would be costly. A turbo hot side is nearly $200.
Can you type long hand, instead of the text talk. No one on the forum does it.

Sorry. it was my fault...used to...
i know that ceramic coating for the full exhaust system is around $750 but yes, clear now...
I'll read thru your build threads about your AGU A3 (and S3 if you have one)? I'll see if I face any problems...
Really know what I need to do now after all your explanation and time...I really want to scoop some more potentials from AGU engine before I get a DBW 1.8T quattro haha.
I appreciate all your words and time. Thank you so much for that, Gavin.
Google is my friend and text talk won't be here anymore.

It wasn't meant to come across as a bollocking.
There certainly isn't a $750 benefit from coating the exhaust for looks or function.
A few threads for interest, my Polo and S3 and another Polo. All the engines are pretty similar but the ECUs are different to yours. Essentially though the Polo is most similar, the S3 has quattro so the turbo is built differently to clear the prop.

Thank you so much, Gavin.
it'll help...
Hopefully I know what I'm doing and won't be distracted by some rubbish opinions...
