Seems a rip to charge people to go around in base golfs. I just got a letter to attend a drive day with the mk7 at Baskerville raceway in Hobart for free.

Can I come too??? Anyway to get discounts?

Just received my discount code this morning, but I've already snapped up the last remaining place on the Wednesday arvo Evo session at full price. Better than missing out I guess.

Signed in yesterday to the 8am Evo course at Lakeside on Friday 2 August. Got a laugh reading all the issues people were having with email addresses and discount codes etc - I thought it was only happening to me! What a fail. I ended up getting my code by calling the VW call-centre and having the lady sign in to my youVW page (cause it wasn't working on any computer I tried it on) and she read it out to me over the phone!

For those who are not convinced, give the Evo course a go. $250 for half a day smashing someone else's Scirocco and Golf R round a track is good value in my opinion when you pay the same sort of dollars for a track day in your own car.

Anyway, hope to see some of you there!

Made my brother take time off work to come along this year so he can see what his GTI can do on the track

Was wanting to do the Evo, course but they want you to have done the Progression course or other advanced driving course or they would not allow you to participate on the day. Couldn't find a any contact numbers to ask, but in my earlier years I spent 10 years participating in Super-sprints,and qualified for my Cams racing license, but that was all in the distant pass. ....anyone had any experience regarding this ?

I have to give a shout-out to the people at VW Customer Service. After getting the last available place for the course/time I wanted at $300 while waiting for a YouVW code, they've refunded me the $100 discount a few days later.
