Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Ben, sorry to hear your troubles, but I will admit the photo in your sig screams "cop magnet" to me - even if it's not driven in that state.

I think I read that on the date in question, when you were pulled by the RBT, that your vehicle wasn't modified. Your build thread couldn't substantiate that? If yours was along traditional lines of "Here's what it's like now", then "these are the mods" and "this is now" then you probably had evidence to support your defence.

If nothing else, I hope this thread makes a few more people obscure numberplates on the photos they post - not only their own, but others too. I'm very careful to ensure I make numberplates unreadable (mine, and others) and it annoys me no end when other people post photos of my car without repaying the courtesy. And for those who wonder, I'm not concerned about illegal modifications.

Four officers to this sort of thing is nuts, in fact the whole thing is nuts. I'd rather four officers were out on the road, not this sort of thing.

I'm not nailing the guy but I have to say those that are suggesting baseball bats and other rubbish need to sort their **** out.

That sort of attitude just makes things worse and focuses even more attention on all of us, including this forum.

I don't need four officers out here checking my car over !
Yeah I know you said good luck with it, I'm just saying go easy, he's just warning some people and blowing off some steam, he doesn't need lectures about it being his fault for illegal ****, you having a go at him for having photos of cops and its legality, and calling bull**** about the amount of cops there were at his house, because nobody really wants to hear it.

Anyway it's not vortex so lets just leave it.

No mate, as Ben and I have discussed, my comments were really to make sure the hole was getting deeper.

Cops and photos rarely works out well ....

Thanks everyone for contributing; I reckon this thread has covered the gamut of opinion on the topic, so I'll close it.

Good luck with it Ben; hope it all works out for the best!
