  • Shipping from US to Australia

I'm looking at getting a set of wheels (that happen to come with tyres) from a private seller in the US and am looking at what it would cost me to get them here.

Splitting the wheels/tyres is an option if it works out significantly cheaper, but the tyres are apparently new so I need to consider the cost of new tyres in Australia vs the additional shipping cost to get them here.

    Coming from 92602 to 2560.

So... who can I use and what is it likely to cost?

For reference we are talking 18 x 8s at ~13kg (29lb) or so each + tyres.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

They look like a company you have your store purchases sent to then they forward on?? Means I have to pay shipping twice unless you can organise for them (or their agents) to pick up from one location and deliver to another.

That aside, thats about the price I'm looking for if I can find someone who can actually do that.

You are right. They have a few warehouses if the seller lives nearby. Or will ship them there. US shipping is pretty dirt cheap also.

ive used www.hopshopgo.com as a forwarding agent, but nothing like wheels/tyres.

Be aware that the combined value of wheels and tyres are likely to take you over the $1k threshold and so you can add another 25%ish to your landed cost in duty, gst and agency fees.

If you ship them seperately, you might get both parcels under the $1k threshold and avoid local taxes - you would need to calculate tax savings vs 2 lots of shipping.

also, if you do decide to ship seperately, get the shipped to two different locations/names as customs are well aware of tricks people use to avoid taxes

I have no idea about how good they are but seem pretty cheap - fills a container then ships.

            Wheel/Tyre (4) (Min chge $100/set 4) - $25
