I would love to go to the factory. My step sister did a VW factory tour 3 or 4 years ago when she was over there. They had GTI's running on the production line.

Did you do a factory tour? Or just roam around looking through the museum etc?

Thanks for sharing the pics. Love that Golf GTI with the Bentley engine in it......

+1 - Thanks for sharing. I love those "silo's". The place is akin to Battersea Power Station.....

I'm off to Germany twice this year. Will be in Berlin in June. I am fizzing at the bum-hole at the prospect of spending the day at Autostadt in Wolfsburg - only an our on the train from Berlin. It will be awesome.

Also will be in Bamberg in April for a lighting conference, and I'm trying to see if I can get a day trip out to Nurburg. There's a few companies that hire out semi-prepped cars that you can hire to do laps around the track. E.g. a stage 2 Scirrocco 2.0TSI or Subaru BRZ, 4 laps around Nordschleife (80km) for about $450 Euro, or a stage 1 Suzuki Swift Sport for $300 Euro.
