i hope they bring these here, and a tuning scene develops in europe... modded, it'd make a solid "awesome fun at 10/10ths" car over reefton etc...

with the Golf R motor in it...

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

It'd be cool if it had a rorty 16v 1.6 NA high revver in it. Would have the essence of hot hatches gone

i know they wont do it (why? because we'd ALL love to see it - that's precisely why they wont do it)....

maaaaaan, if they put the 1.2 turbo from the polo 77tsi, this thing would absolutely FLY up around reefton etc....

put on some decent, sticky stiff sidewalled tyres, some decent pads/fluid and coilies, and it'd be damn formidable in the twisties i'd think.

honestly, if they would just confirm that they're going to build a 1.2tsi UP! GT to australia, i'd start proactively saving for one.

yeah seriously man, i know the detroits / denvers have been overplayed, but in that render, they look bang on!

looks tidy too, without having to go too low

to me, this looks like the closest thing to the twingo renaultsport that aus will be getting (apart from the high revving n/a engine), which is why i dig this thing so much.

they'd better frigging make this - 1.2tsi would be sick but even if it's a 1.0 3cyl turbo i'm still going to take one for a test drive when it eventually does come out.
