Don't even think about it, they're as fake as a Great Wall ute with a Ferrari engine. Avoid wearing them even if offered for free or your feet will pay anyway!!!

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Seriously, if you like running barefooted, these are for you. They don't necessarily make your feet or anything else stronger but rather let your body walk and run the way it was designed to. Can't understand why people think they look funny. I mean, have you ever looked at your feet when you shower? Do they look odd with all those thumbs and stuff?!Last edited by sabloke; 07-05-2011, 08:25 AM.

They look silly...IMO. But each to his own...I have no problem with people looking silly.
I also have no problem with them as a form of athletic footwear. If it works for you then great...Just can't stand the cult like quasi science that people go on about.... strengthening the foot and preventing injury based on their own experience after they tell you that they also happened to change their running technique too...

Yes, Abebe Bikila won a gold medal running barefoot in Rome 1960, but he wore shoes in 1964 and set a world record almsot 3 mins quicker.
See you in the clinic....I love treating stress fracutres...

Got a pair of NB Minimus Trail runners today. They're fantastic! Next best thing after FivefingersIf you find the one with toes too extreme, give Minimus a try. They are so much better than my Nike Free is not funny... Hard to beat weight wise too at 213g!
