  • OK OK I Bit the Bullet

Ive been talking about it for a long while now, and on Saturday morning I did it.

    I bought myself an RS4

2007 B7 sedan in Ice Silver 25000kms from Audi Centre Perth

    Probably take delivery next Monday.

My plans include a shortshifter, a noisier exhaust, and perhaps an APR reflash.

so we are now a 2 Audi family as (against the +1's ideas) I'm keeping the S3 as well

will take some pics when I actually own it.

and will do a before and after exhaust for youtube (eventully)

I'm kinda liking (well no, lusting!!) this sound (tubi)
YouTube - Tubi exhaust on Audi RS4 but it would cost around $6000, so I'm considering a milltek

Mmmm, Euro tuned V8 Exhaust notes make me go all gooey inside.

                The Tubi one is ace.
Maybe you could source something from ECS while the $ is high.
I believe they have a 2.5 inch system from Magnaflow for a little over 1k.

With al due respect, I love magnaflow. But it's an RS4...i'd say it deserves something a bit more special than Magnaflow, almost even Milltek maybe!

yuk, that magnaflow makes it sound like a commodore.

I like the MTM better than Milltek, but very expensive also.

My order of sound preference is Tubi, MTM, Milltek, which coincidentally is the reverse of pricing

Would be a small quality level upgrade on the GT eh?

I'm currently secretly weighing up the options of moving into a used 07+ S3, as it wouldn't alter my finances much at all, and be a way better car than the FWD Golf. Only worried about being beaten up for potentially leaving the diesel clan!

Do secretly dream of ending up with a 335d, so I'm no long term trator if it happens!

I typically own a car for 2-3 years but kept the GT-P for 5 so it musta been a worthy choice. Never had a day's problem with it, sounded brilliant and the power and acceleration was just awesome. Biggest problem was it was a bogan magnet, so I'm happy to leave that world behind.

The Audi is a huge upgrade onto a whole new plane, especially in handling and hopefully will keep me amused until I can get my self a Porsche GT3 or similar.

If you do want an S3, make sure you go look over at ozaudi.com, there are some great ones there for sale from time to time
