Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

        • Beautiful car. Wrong wheels in my opinion. They're the wrong shape for the body. Needs some big RS' or something with sharp edges anyways.

            • AWESOME!!! Powder that easily compares to Austria right there... Looks like a great time - some nice shredding too. Where's the full vid?

Got to love being out on overcast/snowing days. Fresh stuff every run and NOBODY around!

2nd link is private... just an FYI

                  • Nice vids. I'd like to go snow skiing again soon. I went a few years ago at Mt Buller and it was awesome. Had the best time. I was a complete hacker and ate some serious **** on the summit etc (heck i ate **** just trying to get off the chair lifts twice! haha) but it was hella good fun!

                    • damn straight preeny- funny how sliding down a hill on a plank of wood can be so much fun that it can change one's life... as for eating it- got a new helmet before i went, the foam is already partially compacted in the back of the helmet (i hate it, but i always seem to bonk the back of my head, enter concussions and not being allowed to sleep afterwards...)

and you bet, rocket, only we were at rusutsu..... snow or shine, there's no one there. dad was actually crying one day when we went up on this mellow, 2.6 km run with perfect groom marks in it, and 30m's of powder out to each side of the run, and literally, we didnt get passed by anyone, nor did we pass anyone. 3 people on a 2.6 km run that you could cruise down at 20km/h or straight line it and lay in half kilometer turns at 90km/h, that was still mostly pristine groomed at 1 in the afternoon- not to mention the copious amounts of untouched powder off to the sides.

                        That's so teasing! LOL!!!

Nothing like being able to sweep down some nice fresh corduroy, carving it up and being able to switch to some knee deep power to mix it up. Think I might have to make a trip to Japan after I do Canada next January...
