Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

For sure, I can't take the credit though. Found it on golfmkv.com.

Alrite then smarty how many Mk1's do you know that pull a genuine 200km/h by themselves without a draft! And how quickly it get's to 200km/h isnt bad.

But yes I know 213km/h isnt that quick...

125mph is fast pretty much no matter how you look at it. Even in drag racing terms, anything that will run 120+mph is considered "fast". I know your old man's car wouldn't run anywhere near 120 on the 1320 (I doubt it would crack triple digits..), but i'm sure it's pretty fast.

This amount of negative camber inspires me to book my mk1 in for another track day

Fair enough for a mk1, only 2 mk1s here that i can think of: valvers and that 20vt in tassy.

First thing that poped in to my head though was busting 100-240kmh over a bit more than a km in a commonwhore.
