Hahaha gosh, I remember that. I had the demo of it and just kept playing the same map using the same car (Ford GT90 I think it was?).
NFS2SE was the best ever! I still remembering upgrading to a 4mb 3DFX card and drooling at the amazing graphics. That's one thing that started my love obsession with the McLaren F1.
McLaren F1 on the "Proving Ground"...the race track circuit. x 100000...i would only ever drive this car on that circuit. Need For Speed... so many memories.

I feel exactly the same way, and the music HOW GOOD WAS THE MUSIC!?!
Since I have an original copy, if anyone wants the game PM seriously!

I can't get over how amazing this engine sounds, they ran this engine in 1951 by the way
They also made a H16 engine in the 60's Jim Clarke steered the beast to 1 victory but it was a bit of a dog, insane engineering though.
I love the note of these engines. I first heard one when my uncle loaned my old man a "Sounds of Goodward" (festival of speed) CD about 8 or 9 years ago. Awesome.
These engines were absolute ball busters, but inferior quality components and high RPM don't mix very well, so they were prone to failure A LOT.
If they made it today, with the improvement in material purities and manufacturing techniques, they would go forever!
If anyone could ever get one to really look that good, I'd buy it.
Shame the wheels are 6 stud
But i agree completely, it looks brilliant, very well designed, if only i had the patience to do stuff like that.
And if i saw a golf like that i would get it immediately, no matter what.

I wish I still had that game
I was keen on the 355 F1 myself.
The first game I got into was NFS 1 SE. YOu could only have the cars in one colour. The Viper was blue and the Lambo, of course...
