Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Cheers for that Jarred. I can't wait either, but I still have.

By the way. I've just about worked out every detail of a live rear axle(eg. VL Commodore, Gemini, Early falcon) 4 cyl. (I'd really like a V8 though!) RWD mk1 apart from a steering rack.

I'd need to measure a couple of different racks to be sure.

Then it's a matter of engineering it. I've been told it can be done, it will also cost a bit coin & a 76 is the best year to do it too, as in VIC if it's badged a 76, pollution gear isn't required & you can use any aftermarket ECU's eg. Motec, Haltech, Microtech etc.

      • everything costs so much. why why why.

Oh well. I'd be an interesting project to do, but for the money it'd cost, I think I'd rather an XP or HK/T/G - low and slow
